I was born in Cleveland, OH in a log cabin I had helped my father build.  Attended/graduated from St. Joseph’s High school in Dover, OH, which also no longer exists ( the high school not the town).  Enlisted in the AF one week after graduation since I had no affinity for coal mining, steel mills or being the town drunk, pumping gas, any of which I could have easily mastered, since I was amply prepared by the ‘college prep’ courses offered by St. Joe’s which allowed me to matriculate in the top half of a graduating class totaling 28 students.  Most of the 28 were girls since most of the boys dropped out and joined the Marine ( a brotherhood for which I also had no affinity, but the utmost respect).  Since leaving Ohio I have returned for an aggregate of probably 100 days, which I sometimes regret since it really is a beautiful State that my Dad really loved.
Luana and I have grand-children and great-grand-children scattered across the great US of A, and time and distance from them is the only drawback to living in the land of Aloha.
